Haji Lane on Thursday

Please start reading from the bottom. =)

Guess where we took this pic? Ans: In Bugis Junction's toilet! haha! We were queuing up to use the toilet and Bing just took her phone out to take the pic..win liao lor...
This shop is located upstairs and it plays rather loud music to attract customers, we guessed. But the shop-keeper is the friendliest of all, even though she is more like those punky type of gals, with a few 'earrings' (I dunno what isit called, haha) on the lower part of her lips dere... (pardon me for my bad biology, I really dunno what are those areas called)

It's Joyce's fave photo here..cos we look co-ordinated in our attire, according to her..haha..

At Haji Lane, a shop called Pluck. As some of you may have read Joyce's blog you'll know, this shop sells some vintage stuff...at super ex prices...but the ice-cream was not bad! We had Bitter Choc and Bailey's Irish Cream...shiok! But the shop is quite small and the shop assistant (or Lady Boss) is not very friendly...face quite black...in fact, all the shops there are small and the shop-keepers are not very friendly...like what Joyce and Bing said, the people there have been left out of civilisation for a long time le...too little communication with the world outside...poor thing...

Oh anyway, our tops are matching!

Not purposely wan k! We just got 默契! Haha!

Bing was scolding: "Arse!" at me?! Haha...

Bing and I...actually 3 of us bought the Jia Jia herbal drinks from this vending machine along Arab St..we machiam shooting ad sia...hmm..got 广告费 not??

Bing, Joyce and I went to Arab St and Haji Lane on Thursday, 22 Feb. Hey, it's Thinking Day too! (Only the Girl Guides and Scouts will know about it la... =P )
The weather was damn hot!!! But it was fun walking around and looking around. It was my first time there somemore! Im a mountain tortoise, seldom have the chance to really go to such unique places to walk around with friends...always go to town, City Hall areas..sian already..
We walked and shopped, although only Bing bought a top...haha..most of the goods are vintage stuff and most of them are not cheap...we met a group of Tai Tais, and Joyce was quite tempted to go up and ask them if they have sons! haha...
We ate ice-cream, den after 1hr we stopped for prata and teh tarik before we headed to Bugis Junction...shiok ah..
Joyce is going back to Shanghai on Friday, and Shuqiu going to Beijing on Wednesday...Gals, Bon Voyage k! Sorry I can't go send you gals off! Take care over there! Cya all in July and August! =)

新年快到了!!!

Yay! Chinese New Year is coming! Here comes the money and good food and fun games and gatherings!

Haha..so glad that this week has past, especially the dreadful Thursday...
Got to know a new classmate a few weeks ago and we even had to do a presentation in class with him, and it was rather a bad experience I would say...
Basically he's a smart and hardworking student...definitely a model student...but his EQ was not as high as his IQ...all the while he thinks he's a teacher and always tells us what to do, and refused to listen to our comments and opinions, as though it wasn't a group work kinda thing...
We thought we should just bear with it till the presentation is over, but he simply got slightly overboard as the presentation is approaching..he wanted us to send our 'scripts' to him without having the intention of sending his version to us..wat the heck?!

Anyway after criticising my work (I admit I did not do it very well, simply because I don't what he wants exactly...), my other groupmate couldn't stand his attitude anymore and decided to reply him with a really long email, telling him about how we all felt about him...
Surprisingly he came back with an email saying: "谢谢你教我做人的道理。Sorry for my arrogance...." But the next paragraph is still telling us his idea of what and how we should present our stuff in class...

The day before the presentation we decided that we had enough and we should not just follow him blindly with whatever 'instructions' he gave, so we came up with our own part of presentation, in combination with what he wanted us to do...

The fun part starts from the presentation...after presenting our parts, it was his turn to explain a certain passage (which was in classical Chinese) to the class. He told the teacher that he would take around 10-15min, but after 15min, he was not even halfway through the passge...(and the passage is only about 1 page long)...it was so obvious that the teacher and the classmates couldn't stand it anymore, and the teacher even reminded him to speak faster, as there is another group still waiting for their turn to present. The 3 of us said that we should discontinue with it and just give a summary to the rest of the passage, but he just ignore everyone and insist that explaining the whole passage was more important, and continued to explain...(can you imagine how embarrassed we were, having to face the class and the teacher? some of our classmates understand our agony and even gave us a sympathetic look...haha..)

In the end the teacher told him that it's 3 against 1 and maybe he should listen to us and let us summarised the rest of the passage, and we even have to 哄(pacify) him saying that if we still have time later we'll go back to the passage...(OMG)...
Sometimes when the teacher needs to cut him off and add something, he seems to be unaware of it and continue with his explaination...and it happened a few times...and poor Dr Lam gave a very helpless look and smile everytime this happens...haha...

This is to tell us...having high IQ really isn't a big deal after all...so what if you are smart but not able to communicate effectively with others? We are humans and humans live in a group, we all have to depend on one another at any point in our lives. Whether you can work well with people or not have to depend a lot on your sincerity and being humble as a person. Working with him also help us learn many lessons, not only academically, but more importantly, he acts as a mirror to us, by helping us check our attitude towards people, and even train our 包容性和耐性...

Anyway, I'm gonna have reunion lunch with the SN bunch tomorrow! Yay! Looking forward to it..haha...many years never stepped into Seoul Garden liao... =P

Happy New Year everyone! 猪年行大运!

Another fun wkend!

Wah...I'm not Goh Kiat Chun (吴尊) but I machiam as busy as him lidat..his last blog was on the 5th like mine...haha..oops...that means I'm slow...and also lazy...

No pics this time! Cos I did not bring my camera out to take pics...but it was still a fantastic weekend spent! =P

Friday was KTV with Jaslyn and her friend Zhixiong...they can sing also...and it was damn fun singing with them...Funny, good voices and good songs accompanied me for more den 5hrs! After that I had a bit of difficulty talking though...wahaha...

Met up with a few ex-Guides after KTV for dinner at Ind**** @ Bugis..
Esther, Denise, Clare, Felicia, Ailing and I turned up...I was told that there's supposed to be about 12 people...where are the rest?!
Anyway it was still fun with the few of us...but Irene was right, the food there sucks! Or probably Ailing and I were just plain unlucky...their so-called Chef's recommendation (I forgot the name, but it was simply 生面 cooked with milk and cream, so you can imagine how tasteless and sick it can be....) is the worst! The portion is small and awful...first time in my life that makes me realise food can be so.......yucky....I dare to say that I'm not a picky eater lor... =S
Even the Chocolate cake...sucks!!! I guess they did not realise that once the cakes had been stored in the fridge for a long time, it will no longer be fresh and it will also become dry and hard...they definitely need much MORE QC...haiz...disappointed...

But...Saturday was different!!! We had choir till 3pm before a few for us went for the AJCAA meeting while the rest went to NTUC Xtra to buy food...cos we were going to have a sumptuous steamboat dinner @ Nadiah's house (plus 捞鱼生)! About 14 of us went to her house and we almost turned it upside down! haha....but it was really a 'happening' night with great food and lots of laughter and fun...I LOVE IT!!!
Thank you guys and especially Nadiah and her parents for being so kind to lend us their house and prepare the ingredients for the steamboat! Hope we can have more gatherings like this! (At other places of course! haha...)

Fun weekend!

This weekend is simply madness....
I just neglect my schoolwork totally and focused all my energy on shopping and 'playing'...

Friday was back to SNGS. Thanks to YY, we were all 'cheated' by her to go back and visit the school! What SN is going to be renovated and so they will be moving soon....the fact is: They are only moving out NEXT YEAR!!! =S
Lp almost blinded yy with her fierce glares, whereas for us, we almost laughed to death just by observing them. LOL!

Oops, tilted pic...but anyway, this is our all-time favourite Ba chor mee! $1 only and it's simply delicious! It may look plain and tasteless, but it's definitely NOT tasteless...it's considered super tasty for school canteen food...and Uncle Mobeen's Iced Milo! 60cents only!

After a hearty and SUPER cheap meal... CHEESE!!! =P

My partner YY! Our Sec 4 Loyalty classroom!

All 7 of us at the 'rooftop'!

Mrs Lily Tan! Our favourite History teacher! And no wonder she is a HISTORY teacher...her memory is fantastic..she may not remember our names but she still managed to remember that we are the 'orange name-tag' batch and we are from 4L! Mrs Tan rocks! =D

At the 'Sunken Forum'...the sun is shining...

Still got many many more to come....hee...

Saturday was choir practice and shopping and dinner with Hx, Lp and Joyce! But Joyce did not join us for dinner at Jeju restaurant though...After that the 3 of us went to Clarke Quay for Hokkaido ice-cream and girls' talk...it was a fun-filled and exciting day for me...We went home and ended up talking online till almost 3am...madness!! Haha....all the funny stuff we have discussed...practically laughed out loud in my room...we really went crazy on Saturday...haha!

Went to KL's house on Sunday to watch Project Superstar, and 顺便关心一下 the soccer match between Singapore and Thailand...I shall not elaborate on the results of both 'matches'. Everyone should know by now...hee...

Slept at 2+ am at her house and I woke up at 640am to bathe...行尸走肉一整天...shag...

In the end I've decided to pon my Modern Chinese Lit lecture and go home to sleep...I slept for 2 whole hours at home! That's how shag I was...haha...

I shall post other photos another day...doubt I can post anymore photos...lazy to wait for the uploading process too... =P

It's time to start thinking about term papers and set my mind and soul into my studies le! But....CNY is coming!!! Means more playing...hahaha...
