Long leave, and back to work...

Just had about 10 days of leave, including off days from the previous flight. I went to Bali for a short trip with a couple of friends, and it was fun and enriching. If not for this trip, my only impression of Bali will be the airport and the hotel we stayed at during the nightstop. And I had always thought that Bali is a damn small island, in fact, it's quite big!

We went snorkelling, parasailing, sight-seeing, eating, sleeping...etc. Snorkelling was not a very good experience, the water is murky, there are not may fishes to see and there's a stinging sensation every now and then (according to the crew it's due to small, harmless jellyfishes). Parasailing was cool and scary, I felt I was going to fall from the sky anytime...from about erm, 4-5storeys high?! But the view from the top is beautiful, as well as the wind and the sun...well..3min is enough...LOL..

The weather in Bali is HOT HOT HOT! One of the days the temperature even went up to 35 degrees Celcius! It was super humid as well, we were sweaty and sticky the whole day. In the end we just wanted to go back to our room, to enjoy the aircon and bathe!!

Food was OK lah. Barbequed seafood, so-so. The prawns are not fresh, and the food is really dry. There is no gravy at all, except for some sambal chilli sauce and mashed garlic. If without these 2 condiments, I bet the meal will be worse. Luckily, on the last day we managed to look for our own food. Meaning to say, we get to choose what we want to eat, so we had western food, BBQ pork ribs (WITH GRAVY) and pasta for lunch and dinner. They tasted so much better... hehe...

The hotel was not bad, it was a 4-star hotel called Aston. Upon arrival, we were given a glass of pink guava juice each, and the rooms as well as the facilities were not bad too. I recommend it! :) It's even better than the one we stay at during night stops...haha!
Airfares plus room rates only $400+, for a 4-day, 3-night stay, from Zuji.com. Not a bad deal.

Recently I also bought a cabin bag, a hair iron and a laptop, cost me $1100+, actually for these 3 items it is considered very cheap already...hee..but still, I gotta face reality. It's time to earn more money after spending so much! I still got a camera to buy...hee... :P
