21 year-old birthday party @ ..... McDonald's King Albert Park!
Haha..kinda happening this weekend...when it's supposed to be the EXAM PERIOD for most of us...
Where did I go today?
Ans: To celebrate out dear Tan Chee Guan's 21st birthday party @ King Albert Park McDonald's!!!
I can only say it's a very innovative and BOLD idea to hold an ADULT BIRTHDAY PARTY @ MACS...LOL...
Birthday boy in BIG RED BOW TIE...hahaha..
We were literally treated like 5 year-old kids..playing games: follow the "big sister's" instructions and dance with the music...like doing the Twinkle Twinle Little Star action and shake butts, then proceed to playing another Island game, where we're supposed to dance around our Island (a pc of Mac tray paper), when the music stops, we have to step on the paper. As the music goes on again, the person will take away some of the papers, and more people will have to squeeze on the paper, who gets kicked out will kena penalty...but...we were just dancing and laughing around and nobody got 'punished' in the end...
And EVERYONE else in Mac were staring into the party room, amazed at so many "BIG KIDS" playing around, making so much noise...haha!
Big Sister: Ok kids, are all of you hungry??? *smiles*
BIG KIDS: (loudly) YES!!!
Big Sister: Ok, so before you eat, what should you do?? *smiled again*
BIG KIDS: WASH HANDS!! WAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Then came the worst part...we have to queue up in twos and form a choo-choo train line and go out and wash hands!!!
Instead of going straight to the toilet which is just outside the party room, we were brought to parade around the whole of Mac, in 2 lines, with our hands on the shoulders of the person in front... (-_-|||) Damn AA, fun, but SUPER malu!!
*Hope no one I know saw me that please..*
It was really fun...and I just realised that many of us have either never held a party at Mac before or have never been to one when we were young.. I only attended Mac parties before, twice or thrice I think..can't remember..
It really brought back some childhood memories, if not, brought us back to the times when we were kids, and had a great time together playing, laughing, eating, making lots of noise...and..being cute!! haha..the party hat was...classic...haha..
Thank you Chee Guan for the party! Anyway Happy 21st Birthday! May your wishes come true! Welcome to join us ah! Enjoy being an adult! haha... :P
To the rest, good luck in the upcoming exams again! Then enjoy the long-awaited holidays! :D

五月天《回到地球表面》巡迴演唱會 Mayday Returns to the Surface of Earth Concert 2008
五月天又回來了！
完美的搖滾音樂、‘從天而降的突擊隊員’和前所未有的吊橋同時出現在新加坡室内體育館！
新加坡是五月天《回到地球表面》演唱會的第一站。
這就是所謂的‘吊橋’，因爲它真的可以被吊起來，所以叫‘吊橋’。哈哈！
阿信直接站在眾歌迷的旁邊唱歌。帥斃了！:D
阿信漸漸走過我們，再回到臺上去。
忘了介紹，這是和我一起去看演唱會的好朋友之一，凱琳！:D
凱琳旁邊那位是她的雙胞胎姐姐，凱雯！也是我大學的好朋友哦！ :D
回到演唱會去，這是阿信和怪獸再次出現在我們面前的時刻！不好意思，用小妹我的手機拍的，效果不太好，盡請原諒！:P

It's not easy to write about a concert in a news article way, and I just reached home from the concert, quite tiring to think of how to write, so I shall just write in my own style, according to what I remember! hehe...
一开场，5個白马王子的出现就吸引了在场所有观众的尖叫聲！我忘了他们厂的第一首歌是什么，好像是我不太熟悉的歌。不过我发现，有些我没听过的歌其实很好听！好象《九号球》和闽南歌曲《垃圾车》，好听！摇滚歌曲一手接着一首，抒情的、快节奏的，不管是什么，只要是五月天的音乐，大家都high了起来！:D
到了演唱会的一半，他们都开始从台上走到吊桥去，中间还经过了观众席，从头到尾，让我们能够360度地看到五月天！其实他们几个男生也够A的，哈哈！大家为玛莎唱生日歌，后来他们又说什么没有蛋糕之类的话，玛莎便开起冠佑的玩笑来，说什么就把蜡烛往他身上插好了，之后大家都大笑，他们几个又说要鞭玛莎等。噢，玛莎还穿了裙子！从舞台跑到吊桥上，玛莎直言说他穿着裙子，很难跑！后来阿信也当场把玛莎‘推销’了一番，说什么玛莎今年31岁，单身，嗜好就是穿裙子，然后带着长长的吊饰（当时他的裙子上吊着一条链子吧）……又把我们惹笑了。哈哈！
其实，他们唱的歌曲好像不太多，反而是花了许多时间在和歌迷们在互动，比如来个感性时间的聊天啦、教我们配合做些动作、呐喊等。歌曲大概有（不分排名先后，只照我的记性记录下来），《闯》、《天使》、《知足》、《垃圾车》、《轧车》、《倔强》、《洋葱》、《离开地球表面》、《我又初恋了》、《九号球》、《恒星的恒心》、《生命有一种绝对》、《终结孤单》、《孙悟空》、《恋爱-ing》、《叫我第一名》、《爱情万岁》、《温柔》等。其他的我不记得了。hehe...
《生命有一种绝对》是阿信在趁其他队员在换装时所独唱的一首歌，超好听！之后他也有用吉他自弹自唱了一首歌，可是现在我太累了，想不起来，不好意思！他还说：“他们终于去换衣服了，我等他们离开等很久了。趁他们在换衣服的时候，我要来唱这首歌……”
在教我们做一些动作的时候，阿信又说：“今晚我要把你們的精力搾到乾乾，我才讓你們回家。”
可是，好像是他们先累耶。
阿信后来又说：“惨了，我看很难让你们用完体力，我看我们一整晚都会在这里，你们不用回家了……”
在感谢赞助商的时候，英文不太流利的它们似乎碰到了难题。五月天一边感谢赞助商，一边奏乐打鼓要我们尖叫，已表示对赞助商的感谢，可是开始大家的反应不太热烈，阿信说：“你们这样我们明年也许来不了了……”
到了念一些英文名字的时候，阿信把纸条递给玛莎，玛莎看了一眼，便把纸条交回给阿信，而阿信只好请石头帮忙念。只见石头用高调的声音念了一堆话，阿信就说：“还是把声音调高一点会比较好哦？”后来他们还是认真地念了一遍，原来他们是要讲"crocodile" & "unusual productions"的名字…… (-_-|||)
零零碎碎地就记得那么多，写得太细也会变得沉闷。我想我写得已经够详细也够沉闷了。哈哈！还是到此为止吧！ :P
在演唱会之前和凯琳在Bugis的Billy Bombers 吃的双人海鲜拼盘！不错哦！
离开了地球表面，high 到爽了，是时候回到地球表面继续面对现实，冲刺咯！加油！

Hello everyone, I'm back!!!
Wah lao eh, finally a breather from the HELL WEEK...just handed in my 2nd last project/assignment of the sem! That goes to say, STILL GOT ONE MORE...bloody hell..
Sorry I'm a bit violent these days, lack of sleep and stress...haha..but..what the heck, it's exam period! Why that Zhu make us do soooo many assignments?!?! He really thinks we year 4s/3s are very eng...so much work to do, so little marks...and his exam sounded tedious...FULL OF COMPLAINTS...haha...I've tried my best to think the better side of him..probably he doesn't know our culture here well enough that's why he's like that...but..don't know den don't know how to ask ah?! buay tahan... haha..
The past few weeks have been really crazy...it's still a crazy period, but sort of slightly less tense le...so haven't been thinking about Taiwan trip much..but recently Caren said we should be able to watch I Guess live recording...I felt soooo excited! :D Really looking forward to the trip now man...haha...
It's Mayday concert tonight! Going with the twins..haha..we were doing assignment in school, then they received a msg from fen who has ticket lobang...after a while..we decided to get the most ex tix and rock the night away with Mayday! Ex ah, but...it's worth it! Really need a stress-relief rock session...haha...very long never go for concert le... *using excuses to get rid of the guiltiness* Hiaks..
Anyway, I've gotten back my ISM last week. A week after submission, my dear sup Dr Ong finished marking liao..I think another girl who's under him and I are the first persons to receive our results...damn fast la! Super 恐怖！
So now, I would like to express my heartfelt appreciation to: Dr Ong of course, who encouraged me to do ISM, and then guided me patiently all the while, feeding me with his ideas and knowledge, and then mark my paper, and appreciates the effort that I've put in; 梁文福老師, who is kind enough to spare me some of his free time for an interview, without which, my arguments would not be so strongly supported; Loh Wei, who kindly lent me his Xin Yao CDs, without them, I cannot complete my work at all, cos it's based largely on the analysis of the lyrics of these songs, so, very very 感謝! ; Kai Wen and Kai Lin , who lent me the book written by 梁老師, without which I cannot complete my work as well, and for their encouragement which is much needed, and to Kai Wen who helped me vet my first draft and suggested points that I can discuss with Dr Ong, love you gals! :D ; Xiang Fu aka the 'zai' one for vetting my second draft before I handed in as well, without his comments and opinions, my essay would not be as coherent as it should be, kam sia zuay zuay ah! :P
And to my dear family and all my dear friends who have given me their opinions, encouragement and love...I really appreciate it!!! Thank You all!!!
Sorry for being so lor sor (long-winded), cos unlike thesis, we no need to have 感謝詞 in our ISM...so I can only express my thanks over here, and during face-to-face meetings with you guys... :P
A super long post again. Haha...anw good luck to all those who are having exams!! Jiayou and all the best!!! Ganbatte!! :D

One more month..
Finally handed in my ISM. Cui. Wanted to hand in on Sunday night to my supervisor, but an "Out of Office Autoreply" bounced my work back to me. My supervisor went for an urgent trip to China!!! :S
Then the next day morning he sent me an email, saying: "I'm in China for an urgent meeting, so I would not be in time to read your paper before the deadline. But don't worry, just submit it..." Aiyo..scary sia...2nd draft, awaiting for his approval, now become final paper! What the heck...
And i exceed the word limit. Supposedly 7000-10000 words, I got 12000+ words! Heck liao la..actually they don't care about the no. of words you write, most importantly, your essay must be coherent and you must be clear in your expression...but I'm not sure if I achieved that too..wahaha..
Anyway, i don't really feel a sense of relief leh...still got 5 assignments to be completed in 2-3 weeks' time, before our one and only exam. But one month later, we'll be having fun, going overseas, slacking around, and also on our way to embark on a new journey in life...
Met many new friends this semester, and got to know some of them real well too.. :)
I won't forget the times we all complain, grumble, pia, gossip, 谈心, joke and laugh together..best memories of my uni years in NUS... :D

忙里偷闲
I'm in the midst of doing my ISM now. It's the second draft already, but I still got introduction and conclusion to write. Easy and difficult task. Easy cos you can write in any way you want, in a way, difficult cos you must summarise all your main points into a few lines and make it clear, so that people will know what is your paper all about...sianz..
Anyway, a piece of news here. I think many friends should know. I got accepted for the job. So after I come back from Taiwan, I'll have to start training. On 26th May. I only know that the training lasts for 2.5 months, but I don't know other details already. Haha..so please do not ask me what's my pay like, where will I be flying to etc, cos I really DON'T KNOW...haha..I don't even know when am I going to sign the contract..until I receive my employment letter and email from them..so..that's about all so far.. :)
Anyway, to Hiannie and Irene, this is 《七仔》MV! Remind you of CJ7's scenes of 七仔！haha..Enjoy! :D
