Busy Saturday...

School week was nothing but study, readings, seminars and discussions...It's either seminar rooms, The Deck (Arts Canteen), Central Library or toilets...nothing much...

On Wednesday....while at home...

Yes it's a banana...looks ordinary...


But it's a small banana! It's my first time seeing such a small banana! It's only about 10cm long leh! (Ok say me suaku if you want...go ahead and laugh...) But my fellow 'buddy' is so small and cute!!! LOL!!! (And in the end it got eaten up by me...hehe...oops..)

Went to watch Jay Chou's Secret on Thursday with Tan En..not a bad show actually...quite an unexpected secret...haha..the show also has nice piano music and some funny lame scenes..quite nice... :)

Friday was gathering with Kee Lee, Joyce and Libing...the last gathering before Joyce goes back to Shanghai again...and she'll only be back in 2009!!
Due to 'unforeseen circumstances' (photocopy readings...didn't expected each reading has at least 50pgs to photocopy), I was really late for the gathering..1 hr late! But we had a great dinner at a New Zealand restaurant at Fortune Centre...and cheap food too! :D

Then we took bus to Holland V to meet Garrie so that he could drive us to Haato ice-cream shop again!

We played Taboo at the shop. Bing and I paired up, and we won! :D Bing was super hilarious with her actions...she was trying to act as a 'fairy' but we all thought she was doing some ballet dance or what...luckily I managed to guess it right...LOL

Yesterday was a busy day! Met Eric at Orchard before he left for Shanghai to look for his mum... we went to Starbucks for coffee and some breakfast (I'm the only one eating by the way..) Thanks for the treat! :D And the gifts too...make me feel so can2 kui4!

The 'ah beng' doctor...hahaha..hope to cya in Singapore soon! Will visit you if I go Taiwan! ;)

Met Shuqiu and Yiing Yng at Taka after that...to collect the Amore event goodie bag, but in the end we can only collect next week. That's better, so that I won't need to carry stuff around for the rest of the day! :D
It's fun shopping and walking and slacking around with these 2 girls...they are always full of crap and never fail to make me laugh or smile...haha...cya girls n Sunday and dance our hearts out! Yoohoo!!

Went to catch Chee Guan's HKHK (Hokkien Huay Kuan) drama at Victoria Theatre...the whole theatre was FULL OF KIDS! So cute! They were quite noisy too...but they were fun...the show was interactive as my xiao di (my monkey brother and I'm the banana sister, what a weird combi though), aka Chee Guan was the 'da ge ge' (big brother) and another girl 'da jie jie' tried to engage the audience by asking them some qns... 可是我们竟然忘了喊：“腋下毛！” wahaha...


我‘自认’的小弟 Chee Guan...check out the stage makeup! It has to be this thick in order to look 'OK' on stage! (The choir people will NEVER put on such kinda makeup, 打死我们也不可能发生..)

There's a Caucasian girl in it as well...and she performs in Chinese like the other kids! We saw her parents there too...but too bad I can't post the pic cos Blogger has some error! ROARRRR!!!

Anyway we went to Peninsula Plaza to source for Tan En's shoes before we meet the reest at Bishan MRT to go to Upper Thomson Road for prata! The prata is ok. but we prefer elsewhere's prata...like Bukit Timah...hee...

An ice-cream shop nearby called Icekimo serves nice ice-cream as well...can fight with Haato..haha..but it's SLIGHTLY more expensive then Haato..like 20cents more for a double scoop, but 20cents less for single scoop...weird...haha..still...we enjoyed ourselves very much! :D
Too bad Yirong and Caroline didn't get to join us....

Looking forward to next weekend! But Joyce is leaving on Saturday morning... :(

1st week of school...

Year 4 life is indeed not easy...

Teachers' expectations are higher, there's more workload, and competition seems to be stronger as well. Not to mention that in SOME classes, there are a few doctorate and masters students, on top of the 2nd Upper/1st class honours students-to-be, so I am the ti lam (mattress) of the ti lam! :S

In addition, NEXT TUESDAY I will be doing an individual presentation during one of the seminars..how cool is it? :S

And I am still very indecisive about doing thesis (which is ISM for me). ISM is similar to Honours Thesis but different in the sense that Honours Thesis are for the better students. For average students like me, we can only choose to do ISM (Independent Study Module). We also got to find a supervisor, research, think of a thesis topic and submit to the supervisor for approval before we can actually start writing the thesis. The word limit for Honours Thesis is about 10000-15000 words, whereas for ISM it is about 7000-10000 words (Yes, in Chinese). And Honours Thesis = 8 MCs (Modular Credits), ISM only = 4 MCs...

But I don't even feel like doing ISM, cos I do not know any lecturer well enough and since young I have a little phobia of approaching teachers. Hmm, maybe it is because I got beaten and scolded before, so gradually the image of teachers are 长辈 that I cannot afford to offend, so I will avoid approaching them as much as possible... hee..
Haiz...too bad for me for having such a phobia for teachers...you may think I am useless or what..I will still steer clear from them as much as I can...

Haiz, enough of the heavy stuff...it's only the first week of school! How am I going to survive the rest of the semester?!?!?!

Went to Orchard to meet YY to get some presents (very much belated) for friends..it is damn difficult to get presents for people! Buay tahan ah! All the more I should cherish presents given to me ah... :D


Finally finished our shopping! Ate at Central @ Taka (The HK restaurant)...this is YY and her 牛腩面!


Me and my Chicken Chop Cheese Baked Rice! Not bad...but I suay..kena chicken with a small portion that was uncooked in the middle... -_-|||

I simply love this drink! A Must-have before you sleep!

It's called 杏仁霜 (Almond Milk)..so you must be OK with almond before you try this...
I think the hot one would be nicer..it's not very sweet, and it's just nice, not too thick nor too diluted..but I think it you order the cold one, it would be diluted by the ice, then it won't be as nice already..hmm...taste a bit like Horlicks, but almond-flavoured...Nice!

This girl is soooooo cute!!!

She has super good pitching la! Especially when she's only 6!!! And she can do vibrato at such a young age!!! My goodness!!!

Taiwan's Avril Lavigne + Faye Wong??

I was watching the second season of Taiwan's "Superstar" 《超级星光大道》and I heard this girl sing..
She has attitude and most importantly, the passion for music and singing...
欣赏她...
She seems to be Avril and Faye 混合体...
Although her original composition somehow sounds familiar, I still think that she's good..even though it's quite "religious" I would say...but I feel that it's nice.. :)

A Super Enjoyable Steamboat + Sleepover!!!

我真的是老了...走下坡了！
In the past, I can sleep for 10 hours a day and feel good. But this time, I slept for 10 hours and I woke up with a little headache!! What's wrong with me?! I even feel guilty for wasting so much time on sleeping... zzz...

Anyway, sleepover at Kee Lee's house on Wednesday was fun! We met up at Novena, went to NTUC @ Velocity and shopped for our steamboat ingredients. Bought whatever we wanna eat, and vroom! Head off to Kee Lee's house for a round of food indulgence!


Look at the whole table of food..of course we could not finish..LOL..

The pot looks like some Japanese steamboat...all healthy food ok, except for the grilled stuff we ate..
Thanks to Majyo aka Joyce for the marinated meat! They were superb! :D

Next up, we took Garrie's car (Kee Lee's bf) to some ice-cream place at some Clementi condo for dessert!

Got durian, tiramisu, milk tea, cookies and cream, rum and raisin and chocolate banana! It's really nice..and I was told that Wheelock place has a stall... :D

We went back to the house and chatted a bit before we went to bathe..and played with Kee Lee's 3 dogs!


This is Fluffy! A big black dog named Fluffy that pushed me down on the floor last year..haha..


Cute little Happy! A dog that loves to play with little soft toys...the one he's biting is a monkey that doesn't look like one anymore..he also owns a teddy bear! :P


Last but not least, Jenna! Kee Lee's only sister who is very dao..she just lives in her own world and ignored people...but poor girl, she's going blind soon due to cataract..cos she's quite old also.. :(

We stayed up to chat till 4am..but the 走下坡 Libing couldn't take it and slept at 2am..LOL...and we woke up at 2pm! 4 lazy pigs...
Went to Bukit Timah to eat prata (again, haha) and Milo Dinosaur! Met a bunch of kids (teenagers) who most probably are having camp and they are damn noisy..keep singing National Day songs...and I thought it's our retribution...cos we definitely have behaved like that before in the past...wahaha...oops!

School's starting in 3 days' time! Bleah...

Yay! I got my new phone yesterday!

Ok la, it's been out in the market for some time and quite a number of my friends have the phone already. Nevertheless, I am very happy that I got a new phone! :D
It's SE K800i Allure Brown... the colour that Irene says looks like s***... eh...don't think that you got a new Samsung U600 Red phone then you can yaya papaya ok... LOL

Lag Lag Lag

Haha...the previous post was supposed to be up on Wednesday or something..but...due to time constraint, erm, plus SOME laziness on my part...hee...ya...that's why it just got posted on the blog... :D

Anyway, The Simpsons was really funny! Like what Tan En said, it's really slapstick...haha...but Yy and I really enjoyed laughing at the stupid jokes..LOL

Alone was nice too. Although I am afraid of horror movies, this one has a good plot and the twist near the end of the show was really unpredictable..good one...
And the thing is, after some time, once you get used to the same type of "BOOM!"s and sudden appearance of the ghost, you won't feel scared anymore... There are also many scenes you thought will be damn scary, but once you watched you will just go "Chey" in your mind...hahaha... A person with an evil heart is many many times more scary than the ghost...this time, I like the ghost in the movie, but please don't come and haunt me (rhymes sia?), I am not your twin... :P

Went back to NUS today to zap some readings.. Sounds hardworking hor? wahaha...no choice lor..if wait till school starts then do, all the more I won't be able to catch up liao...the level 4000 modules really look quite intimidating.. sianz..
The school is CROWDED with people!!! And we have one more week of holidays before school starts! A lot of foreigners around the school...and I guess every faculty is conducting at least one camp... and saw bits and pieces of the Arts Fac's Rag Day 花车 (suddenly forgot what isit called in English) hehe...hmm...just felt that...a lot of effort put into it man... 佩服、佩服……
Oh! And The Deck (Arts canteen) is still not opened yet... *disappointed* next week will try again..must eat the Laksa Yong Tau Foo first!!!

Papa and Mama were commenting on the moon just now..and they were saying that the moon looks yellow...

Don't you think it's almost as yellow as the spotlight of the primary school??

I asked them why, and they said: "Cos the weather is hot." And I believed them. Old people have many different kinds of sayings, such sayings are the ones that I believe. When you noticed that the sky is red at night, it is most probably going to rain the next day...this is damn true...most of the time, like 98% or so, IT WILL RAIN... :)

My niece loves my room so much that she keeps coming to me room to 'ka jiao' me...touch this and that, climb up to my bed in a split second and jump and run around my bed... 抓狂啊！！！ haha...but she's still super CUTE! *Muackz*



She loves her 'chou4 chou4' (smelly pillow)..haha..like the way I love mine...wahaha!!! But my chou4 chou4 is handmade by my mum ok! *feeling paiseh*

Saturday: choir prac cum full dress rehearsal @ AJC...
rehearsal was bad..for the choir and for myself..aiya don't say liao...不堪回首的往事就别再提了……bleah...
but after choir it was nua-ing again...went to Woodlands Civic Centre with Jiechao and Tan En to drink coffee and eat bread and nua before we go to Woodlands library to borrow some books.. After that was a shiok afternoon nap and TV the whole night! Wahaha...what a nua Saturday..

Sunday: Shopping with the SN gang and KTV and prata @ Casuarina again!! Went to Far East and shop..and we were so bored that we decided to go to Orchard Partyworld for KTV instead...so long nv sing with you gals le...I just realised that the last time we sang KTV was during Dec when we all went to Liping's chalet! More than half a year ago liao!! *Gasp*
Prata was good..this time round I ate the 'normal' pratas, Paper (more crispy type of plain prata) and Egg, and I had milk tea instead of Milo Dinosaur.. (going to pu3 zhua4 liao, cant take in too much heaty stuff...prata is heaty enough...wahaha..)





Monday: NUA @ home!!!

Tuesday: Met up with Irene and Hiany for a girls’ day out! Went to Donut Factory to queue for donuts! 2 whole hours! And we were quite surprised to see that most of the customers are young people like us!! 新加坡排队文化的承袭confirm后继有人了……Hahaha! We even analysed the reasons why: school holidays are still on, so all these young people (including us) eng eng cheng cheng, can afford to waste such time..haha..
But seriously, once is enough…imagine queueing alone…I’ll rather stay at home and sleep! Haha.. =S

But guys, this is a good opportunity to test your sincerity if you intend to chase after a girl…queue for 2 hours and give her one whole box of colourful assorted donuts..see whether she feels touched or not…wahaha..

Went on to Bugis to walk…and to Bras Basah to get some Chinese history books that I thought are needed for reference…

Then to Sakae Sushi for buffet lunch!! Shiok..and Irene and Hiany are 2 lamers..damn funny…3 of us just lame together…wahaha…

Dinner @ Chomp Chomp! Wah kao..thought I can eat right? No lor..haha..can’t stuff much food le… Initially wanted to meet Huixian, Joyce and Tan En and whoever’s free for a makan gathering at Chomp Chomp…in the end only left Tan En and I…so pathetic right? Haha…but we didn’t eat much also..one plate of ‘zwee kueh’ and one plate of satay and we were quite full…left some space for ice-cream though..
The legendary Ice^3 (called Ice Cube) serves great ice-cream!!! So we just stayed there, eat ice-cream and talk rubbish till it’s time to go home… *Yummy* Feels super contented that I have the opportunity to have so much fun and eat so much good food in a day… Thank you my dear friends!!! =D

Time to watch The Simpsons Movie with YY later @ Jubilee! Dinner @ Jubilee BBT shop again! Another sinful round of eating…muahaha… *Evil grin*
